Dear Judy

If 'Caroline Smith' is truely who she says she is, then i am Michelle Obama! We will end up going back 2500 years if we were to discuss the merits of Tamil claims to Sri Lanka, but now, we are discussing the public disruption thats being ongoing in Ottawa and Toronto since January. If the protest / rally is meant to bring attention to the plight of the innocent civilians trapped in the war zone they are certainly not doing a great job for a few simple reasons as was pointed out by Mr.Jason Kenny in Ottawa. These are
1. You dont DEMAND and DICTATE foriegn poicy to the Canadian goverment to take action against another soveriegn state..You ASK.
2. You dont ASK by holding the population at RANSOM and inconveniencing everyone, no, you do it over the weekend, quietly
3. 3rds a charm, you dont wave flags of a designated terrorist organisation in public, just think a few muslims waving flags of Ossama Bin Larden and cronies DEMANDING Canada to withdraw from Afghanistan?? There cannot be dual standards in dealing with this issue. These protestors sould be arrested on terrorism charges
4. Last but not the least - The war would have been over 4 weeks ago, if the SL govt. wants to commit genocide. The reason there is a standoff is these LTTE 'heroes' are holding human shields, preventing the innocent from fleeing the rebel area. If these protestors in Toronto truely care about their loved once, why do they carry the flag of the very same people (LTTE) who holds them hostage. And you madam, need to go to Sri Lanka before making any statements about it, you just need to visit Colombo to see how 1 million tamils live in harmony with the rest of the ethnic groups..
