In The Netherlands, I have spoken with over three hundred randomly selected people within the last four years, asking them who they support and why they would support Geert Wilders. The backgrounds of these people were startling. 31 of them even secular Muslims. All respondents ranged from the ditch digger to the neurosurgeon and businessman. All their answers indicated their choice had nothing to do with racism or economics, as so many social scientists and other experts who have probably never left their classrooms and scholarly citadels sometimes claim. The issue each time was the aggressiveness of Islamization, as well as the nature of this robust and growing religion within Western society. And the reason those interviewed are quiet about all this is the fear of being labeled racist, the intolerance this religion projects (Denmark cartoonist incidence) as well as the issues Islam has with Western style democracy,its ultimate compatibility.
